The 8th Asian American Business Summit & Expo was held at the Silver Spring Civic Building on October 10th, 2017. The Asian American Chamber of Commerce hosted this event and catered to local businesses, business owners, government agencies, and other individuals who were interested in participating. This is an annual event and draws out people from both Virginia and Maryland each year. The event was broken down into two sections: Panel 1 & Panel 2. This provided a networking opportunity for the guests between sessions.

On the first panel, we had Sharon Pinder-  Capital Region Minority Supplier Development Council, Grace Denno-Montgomery County Government Office of Procurement, Antonio Doss-District Director at U.S. Small Business Administration, and Kimberly Marcus- AARP.

On the second panel we had Rick Wade- The Wade Group, Kevin Matthews- Beta Solutions CPA, Sufen Zhang-Miles & Stockbridge, Greg Smith- M&T Bank, and David Wang- Newtac Global Solutions Inc. They all provided great insight to the business community and exhibitors who were attending.

There was a great turnout from both Virginia and Maryland! We want to thank all the exhibitors who had an exhibit table and the attendees from both states. We hope to see the same amount of enthusiasm at our next business expo!
